Where to watch Fireworks in Northern Colorado-  July 4th, 2018

Fireworks are an important part of the 4th of July all around the country. With the holiday fast approaching, we’ve compiled a list of a few of our favorite places to celebrate our Nation’s 242nd birthday by enjoying a fireworks display in Northern Colorado.

 

Estes Park

What: 4th of July Celebration

Where: Lake Estes

When: Pancake breakfast and all day activities begin at 7am, displays start at 9:30 pm.

Firestone

What: 4th at Firestone

Where: Miners Park

When: Festivities begin at 10 am, fireworks at 9:30 pm

Fort Collins

What: 4th of July Community Celebration

Where: City Park

When: Fireworks will be held at 9:35 pm over Lake Sheldon, but live music will begin at 4:15 pm. Don’t forget to check out the 4th of July Parade at 10 am that morning downtown!

Greeley

What: Fireworks at Greeley Stampede

Where: Island Grove Park

When: Display will be held at 9:30 pm for and finish off the 97th annual Greeley Stampede!

Lafayette

What: Celebrate the 4th of July

Where: Waneka Lake Park

When: The event will start at 4 pm with plenty of food vendors, live music, activities for all ages, and of course the finale. The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is still looking for volunteers.

Longmont

What: Longmont 4th of July Fireworks Display

Where: Boulder County Fairgrounds

When: 9:30 pm for display, but don’t miss the concert in the park at 11 am!

 

Loveland

What: July 4th Celebration

Where: North Lake Park over Lake Loveland

When: Festivities begin at 11am, be sure to arrive early for a great seat as display starts at 9:17pm.

Windsor

What: Town of Windsor’s Annual 4th of July Celebration

Where: Boardwalk Park

When: Four legged fun run and food vendors begins at 7 am, display at 9:10 pm.

Memorial Day 2018 Events

 

Memorial Day is just around the corner and if you’re looking for events over the weekend, we have your back. Northern Colorado kicks off summer with activities all around the Front Range. White water rafting, camping, and discovering Horsetooth are some fun activities that are great for all ages. The Big Thompson Canyon Highway between Loveland and Estes Park will open up this Thursday, May 24th, at 4 pm.

 

Estes:

CSU BBQ Showdown

This year’s event will be held at The Stanley Hotel over May 26thand 27th. You can enjoy the family friendly festivities with drinks, music, and of course- BBQ or enter your best recipe for your chance to win cash prizes and qualify for the Jack Daniels Contest.

 

Fort Collins:

Realities Ride and Rally

It’s biggest event this time of year is the annual Realities Ride and Rally. This two-day festival begins on Saturday and honors our fallen heroes as well as the brings the community together to support the Realities for Children charity that helps local at-risk youth that have been abused and/or neglected. You can enjoy the parades, vendors, food, beer, and one of the largest poker runs in NOCO! Stop by our booth and say, “Hi”!

 

Veterans Plaza

The Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado honor the fallen military members every year. This year they will be celebrating those who served in the Cold War.

 

Odell’s Small Batch Fest

Odell’s Small Batch Fest will run on Saturday, May 26th, from 1-6 pm. You can find live music, food trucks, and over 40 Odell beers. A portion of their ticket sales will go towards their $10,000 Small Batch Grant’s 2018 recipient- Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed. You can buy tickets here.

 

Greeley:

Centennial Celebration

The Centennial Village’s 2018 season begins with this year’s Centennial Celebration that runs from Saturday to Sunday. Blacksmith, print shop demos, and Buffalo Soldier performances are just a few highlights of this family fun event.

 

Memorial Day Program

Monday, May 28th, 9-10 am, The Weld County Military Organizations partnered with Linn Grove Cemetery to hold the Memorial Day Program. This is not only a great way to reflect and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, but also features an honor guard salute, speakers, music, and the Avenue of Flags.

 

Johnstown:

80’s Fest

Enjoy an 80’s themed day on Saturday, May 26th, from 10:30 am- 8:00 pm. 5k Run/Walk, live music, karaoke, yoga, parade, food, beer garden, costume contests, and much more!

 

Veteran Brothers Brewing Company: First Annual Corn Hole Tournament

The Veteran Brothers Brewing Company is located in the heart of Johnstown down Parish Ave. Not only will they have great beer, but live music and prizes for winners.

Windsor:

Memorial Day Ceremony

Windsor offers multiple ceremonies in the morning starting at the Elm Grove Cemetery at 8 am. The second will be at the Veteran’s Cemetery at 9 am followed by the Memorial Day Parade to Windsor Town Hall, and end with the final ceremony at 10 am. This year’s Parade Marshall is Dennis Guay.
